Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex, high-value, and multi-party claims across property and casualty lines
- Exercise expanded settlement authority, making confident decisions on challenging files while escalating judiciously
- Direct and evaluate independent adjusters, legal counsel, and experts with expertise and accountability
- Perform in-depth coverage analysis, liability assessments, and damage evaluations on high-exposure files
- Oversee litigation strategy in collaboration with legal counsel; attend mediations, examinations, and trials as required
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate examiners, elevating the team’s overall capability
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for carriers, senior management, and external stakeholders

Job Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive insurance claims experience, with significant Property and/or Casualty experience managing complex and high-value files
- CIP designation required; FCIP or additional designations are a strong asset
- Deep expertise in coverage analysis, litigation management, and multi-party claims resolution
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior claims professionals
- Executive-level communication skills—written, verbal, and presentational
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see beyond individual files to broader trends and implications
- Advanced proficiency with claims management systems and MS Office
- Proven track record of driving results under pressure and delivering outcomes that protect the business
Salary Range: CAD $85,000–$100,000
*Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates’ knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.
