Product Development Specialist
Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. is a Canadian InsurTech Managing General Agent (MGA) partnering with brokers and insurers to deliver specialized coverage solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to develop, enhance, and maintain Forward’s commercial insurance product suite.

This is an in-office role based out of Vancouver, BC
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Research market trends, broker needs, competitor offerings, and emerging risks in commercial and professional lines.
- Develop and refine products including coverage, underwriting guidelines, rating, wordings and endorsements.
- Collaborate with leadership, underwriting, claims, operations and technology teams to bring products from concept to launch.
- Support product implementation, testing, documentation and ongoing product reviews.
- Develop and deliver product materials and training to brokers and the Forward team.
- Monitor product performance and recommend changes to remain competitive and profitable.
- Assist with Insurer regulatory/compliance requirements as required.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Commercial P&C insurance (commercial underwriting / product development, underwriting, or compliance).
- Working knowledge of Commercial Lines underwriting / coverages / policy wordings / rating structures.
- CIP designation (in progress or completed) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel)
Salary Range: CAD $50,000–$80,000

Education & Experience
- Preference given to applicants with underwriter, broker, or other industry experience and /or education (CAIB, CIP or other relevant designations).
- 3+ years of work experience with Property and Casualty Insurance
