We are looking for a full-time Field Underwriting Representative - Commercial Lines.

Job Description
Our Field Underwriter role is a hybrid position, with much time spent attending industry events and visiting our broker partners in-person for production meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broker partners through regular in-person visits and production meetings.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze and assess underwriting submissions during field visits to ensure alignment with Forward’s appetite/guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal underwriting teams to communicate market trends and feedback gathered from the field.
- Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial underwriting experience.
- Knack for relationship building / business development.
- Strong professional communication, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS office.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and deliver on deadlines and service standards.
- An inclusive and transparent collaboration style.
- Aptitude to adapt to changes in the workplace positively.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Salary Range: CAD $75,000-$95,000

Education & Experience
Preference given to applicants with underwriter, broker, or other industry experience and / or education (CAIB, CIP or other relevant designations).
