Key Objective:
As a Claims Examiner, you’ll be the tactical decision-maker on the front lines of loss resolution. You’ll wield advanced technology and seasoned judgment to investigate, assess, and close claims with precision and speed. This isn’t desk-bound paperwork—it’s strategic problem-solving that protects our clients and keeps our business winning.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deploy your investigative instincts to review every angle of a claim, directing independent adjusters like chess pieces across the board
- Analyze adjuster reports and documentation with a critical eye, determining coverage and damages with accuracy that matters
- Manage reserves like a pro—set them right, adjust them smart, and keep them aligned with corporate strategy
- Maintain flawless file documentation and carrier reporting; our tech removes the busy work so you can focus on the critical thinking
- Execute detailed bill reviews and expense control with surgical precision
- Navigate litigation alongside legal counsel; be ready to level up with mediation attendance and travel when complex files demand it
- Process and settle claims within your authority level with confidence and consistency, embodying company practices that win trust

Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of insurance claims experience with a proven track record of handling files from intake through to resolution
- CIP designation (or actively working towards completion); post-secondary education is a strong asset
- Exceptional attention to detail—you catch what others miss and turn it into actionable intelligence
- Professional-grade communication skills in both written and verbal formats; you can explain complex coverage to anyone
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office and claims management systems
- Master multitasker who thrives under pressure and can prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: CAD $85,000-$95,000
*Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates’ knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply.
Education & Experience
Preference given to applicants with Insurance Industry experience and /or education (CAIB, CIP or other relevant designations).
