Business Development Manager

We are looking for a full-time Business Development Manager to join our team, based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba - must love fuchsia!
Position Details
This role includes a benefits package. Compensation to be determined, commensurate with experience.
This role requires regular travel throughout the Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Northern Ontario.
Expected to organize and participate in various industry events important to developing broker relationships.
Job Description
- This position will be accountable for managing, developing and expanding the partnerships with our current commercial brokerage partners.
- Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help us expand our distribution in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario.
- Develop and achieve specific company objectives and goals.
- Continually improve on a thorough understanding of the insurance market and stay up to date on industry trends and competitive intelligence.
- This position will report to Tina Jonmaire, Managing Director, and work closely with other team members.
- Promote and model our culture, values and brand promise – must love fuchsia!
- Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Commercial Lines Insurance Industry.
- Experience in Commercial Lines is a requirement.
- Good organizational and planning skills, including great time management.
- Confident in conducting round table meetings with effective presentation skills.
- Focused and goal-oriented.
- Strong professional communication, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS office.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and deliver on deadlines and service standards.
- An inclusive and transparent collaboration style.
- Aptitude to adapt to changes in the workplace positively.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Salary Range: CAD $80,000-$100,000

Education & Experience
Preference given to applicants with Insurance Industry experience and /or education (CAIB, CIP or other relevant designations).
